ABC RadioNational: Life Matters Interview

Professor Andrew Biankin and Professor Sean Grimmond spoke with Life Matters host Natasha Mitchell about Genomic Research and Personalised Medicine in Pancreatic Cancer.

Genomic research is opening new avenues for personalised medicine, treatments which focus on the uniqueness of an individual's cancer. This would mean each cancer sufferer could be treated with the chemotherapeutics which are most likely to act on their tumour. The leaders of the Australian Pancreatic Genome Initiative (APGI), Sean Grimmond and Andrew Biankin, discussed how the current research into pancreatic cancer will hopefully allow suffers to receive individualised treatment.
